09 Feb Northern Embassy brings the heat to Joyride 150 with 2016 Invitational

[vimeo id=”151837229″]

The Northern Embassy is always up to something awesome for Canadian BMX. Earlier this January they put together a contest featuring a ton of well known Canadian shredders, along with an Expert jam/session where the winner gets to join the Pro Teams for an invite-only part of the contest. Everyone threw down, including REPSET’s very own Chijioke and Greg Henry. The highlight video above features a ton of crazy footage from Dillon Lloyd (Team Captain), Mike Gray (Team Captain), Ryan Eles, Brandon Webster, Eli Taylor, Justin Hughes, Gabe Truax, Dean Hartley, Spencer Ryan Greg Henry, and Chijioke Okafo.

15 Jan Looking back at Brad Hill’s 2012 SD Footage

[vimeo id=”60029211″]

This video brings me back to a really fun era of Canadian BMX. Back in the day, Brad Hill was fortunate enough to tag along with various squads and teams across the country for some of Tenpack’s (RIP) tours and trips. Brad re-posted this edit recently, and I thought it’d be perfect to revive on the REPSET website as well. With this video featuring footage from Greg Henry, Chijioke Okafo, Phil Bartlett, and many many other Canadian shredders it goes without saying that this is worth a fresh watch. Tons of Winnipeg footage, too. Enjoy!

04 Jun Chijioke Okafo – Spring 2015

Chijioke has been down with the ‘SET since day one and has been killing it on a bike just as long. Chris Cadot put together this collection of footage filmed by himself and a mix of Chij’s homies in and around Toronto / Niagara region. Watch out for more from Chijioke this year.

Our spring line is available in our online store now as well with free shipping anywhere in North America. Free stickers with every order, too. Don’t sleep.

28 Jan Toronto DIY spot ‘Duff Grove’ honoured in new Embassy feature.

Dufferin Grove is the perfect hockey rink DIY spot that every riding scene needs; a place for a few beers and grinds. A couple of fun jibs, free to get tossed around the space in whatever the locals come up with that afternoon is the perfect recipe for a rad summer spot. Featuring clips from Chijioke OkafoTrent BarkerChris CadotGreg HenryLee DennisBrandon Webster, and Chris Silva via  The Northern Embassy.

In the middle of the city of Toronto, known for its street riding, lays Dufferin Grove Park, or Duff Grove as it is commonly known. Full with a community garden, bone fire pits, and a Thursday evening farmer’s market, it also contains a make shift wooden park that bike riders and skateboarders make the best of. Certain times of the season it may be in total disrepair, and other times it may seem like it is running smoothly. Made of mostly donated ramps (one of which is from us) and rails, the community pitches in where they can to keep this place going.
