20 Oct Day Six!
Day Six was good. We do so much in one day that I can rarely remember everything but Ill do my best to give you a rundown based on all the photos we took.
We went to the mall in the afternoon. We saw a real live Cheerleader which was weird because we definitely dont have those running around in uniform at our malls. I distinctly hear someone say, “This mall needs more black stores,” and also heard someone from the same group of people say she needed some “Tinner.” I was thinking it was some sort of mixture of titties and dinner but it turns out it’s just how some people say Dinner.
We were driving to the skatepark after all that and saw a gun store. Stefan and I really want a crazy powerful laser pointer and we figured they’d have one, and we thought itd be cool to see a gun store anyway, so we went and checked it out. Holy fuck, were we ever in for a surprise.
The closest I have ever been to a real gun was like ten feet away from a cop who had it in his holster and you couldn’t even really see it. This store had every different kind of Glock, 9mm, and AK47s hanging from the ceiling and shit. So many knives and throwing stars and grenades. Americans love to excersize their right to bear arms and its actually scary. All I need to go to buy a gun is have money and be a Florida resident. Then I could walk out of the store and kill people. A concealled weapons liscence is also easy to get, so basically I now assume that anyone who is rocking a shirt thats not tucked in is packing for sure. Its actually the scariest realization and culture shock I’ve had since I got here.
I asked to touch a gun and they said no, they wouldn’t even let me poke one. BUT, they did let us hold a replica Glock 17 just like Dr. Dre has haha. It dissasembles and weighs the same so basically its a real gun. First thing I did when I touched it was pretend to shoot it all bad ass style with it sideways.
“Ya’aint gon’ hit nothin’ like dat bwoy. Dat’s da movies.’
Yeah as if I actually care buddy, I’m just trying to look cool. Shit. So scary though. He wouldn’t let us touch a real one though because he said the only people allowed to touch real guns were staff, and before I could finish asking if he was packin’ he grabbed his holster under his shirt.
I asked him millions of questions like if he’s shot anyone before and stuff. Basically he was a pussy but said if someone came at him he would open up and put a hole in a dude.
All the kids at the skatepark thought this whole situation was really funny. They couldnt believe we had never been to a gun store before or ever seen one. Half the kids were shootin’ gats when they were like 5 years old. This place is actually fucked up. I think America needs to chill the fuck out.
Ended up goin’ out on Main Street again and it was packeddd as fuck. I have like ten photos of crazy shit happening. Mostly gross shit, actually. The photo of the trucks bumper makes me laugh so hard. We were asking people to chill in the beds of their trucks to cruise up the strip since you couldn’t walk really. We rode that truck all the way up, got out, and new people jumped in. But the dude stepped on the bumper and the whole thing ripped off and the driver didn’t notice. Playyy cool!
We told some guy we were from Canada and how crazy everyone here was. We asked is he was packin’ and he said real men carry knives. “I just don’t feel right without one.”
One photo is of Stefan after tripping over a tent post. We also have one from the afternoon showing a typical American Woman eating in her car.
Oh and we stopped for Slurpees and they are soo so different here, 204 would be pissed. Stefan also had some random drunk hoe come up and bust dance moves on him too. SWEET.
